Marriage

Marriage

by Nikolai Gogol/Tom Parry at Assembly

This is as near perfect casting and as generous an ensemble as you will ever see – each putting in inspired performances that are as dramatic as they are comic, all riding on Tom Parry’s flawless script. Director Russell Bolam harnesses it all with a disciplined beat throughout...eminently West End-able.

Marriage offers something of a gallery of comic talents, but they make for a unified comedic troupe under the direction of Russell Bolam.

Adapted from Nikolai Gogol’s original play by Tom Parry – one third of Fringe favourites Pappy’s – Marriage stars the cream of Edinburgh’s crop: Ben Clark (also of Pappy’s), Adam Riches (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner) and sketch duo Lazy Susan, among others. With such a pedigree of comedy talent, this classic farce has been given a new lease of life.
